Belgrave City - Backstory

Nestled between the ocean and the mountains, Belgrave City is the jewel of the East Coast. Skyscrapers shine like gold, designer cars line the boulevards, and private clubs cater to the rich and untouchable. But behind the manicured hedges and champagne smiles lies a power structure built on decades of organised crime, political corruption, and family rivalries.

In the early 1900s, Belgrave was forged by four founding families — industrialists turned kingpins — who divided the city into districts: commerce, politics, shipping, and security. Today, their descendants run multi-billion dollar "legitimate" businesses... while controlling the streets from behind silk curtains.

The Valenci, DeMarco, Hale, and Rosetti families all claim to be the rightful rulers of Belgrave. Each controls parts of the police, city hall, and the underground. Alliances shift. Blood is spilled. And yet the city still sparkles — an illusion maintained by luxury, loyalty, and fear.

Outsiders come to Belgrave to make it big. Most don’t realise: if you’re not part of a family, you’re already someone's pawn.
